Something Odd?

This Spyder is back up for sale - at auction. No mention of mileage but a Gov. reg. check on HX53MZT indicates 47K.
When I saw this car 2 years ago, as per a previous advert, it had 99K. Which tallied with a reg. check at the time.
It was re-advertised again last August at 103K. So, even if a new cluster has been fitted since, how has the official mileage history changed?

Am I missing something or just being thick?!

Very strange. It had a 35k mileage reduction recorded in its MOT history file in 2010. The highest mileage the car has recorded is 55k in 2009 and the mileages you note at 99k and 103k aren't on the MOT history so I think the car has had at least two major haircuts. It's also missing its MOT history for both 2011 and 2014.

Variances are a little bit too big but I've seen in the past MOT history being recorded against km's rather than miles resulting in drop in mileage between MOTs in subsequent years....
