What a Great idea to bring life back to a place.
Hope they don't become second homes though.

Holidays in Spain for a quid....those will be the type of people your neighbours will be.

Calabria is lovely, sod it, I’m in.

I wouldn’t fancy the bureaucracy without a fluent local fixer, and I suspect building and maintenance services might be from ‘family firms...’ but sod it, h3ll yeah!

discussed this recently, lots of incentives to bring in new money. Certain caveats where you must spend certain amounts with local tradespeople but still options. My workmate is looking to move to Northern Italy near hist brother. Working for UK company taking a salary, he submits tax return to Italians who repay him €10,000+ per year!

So we buy two streets, SportsMaserati Street with wall to wall beer swilling, vomiting and kebabs, then a second street out of earshot called Old Nagger Street that do laundry, meals and a once a week rub down?

Sounds like living in Nottingham 20 years ago.

I watched a programme where they did that in Liverpool ,sold them for peanuts but you had to fully refurbish them within a set period only it was the shot hole bit of Liverpool, lovely victorian terraces but the council just left them to it , one guy went on holiday , when he came back scumbags had nicked the kitchen he'd just fitted.

Can I have one to live in and one for the garage? I did watch a video on this and there were options to make shops, b&b, hotels also. Not sure if it was the same town though.
