SportsItalia Stradale Remap

Matt has had my 21000 mile Granito Stradale in for the long awaited ECU upgrade plus fitting specially ordered Larini Sports Cell cats and a Jul Ian provided---all the way from the USA------- Urutu X pipe. First of all. The noise.
Just absolutely incredible. I have sold supercars for a very long time, and nothing imo can compare !
I believe the Urutu gives it that extra howl which is above the norm. But I stand to be corrected !
The long awaited remap does not disappoint, although I would like to see it on a rolling road.
In Auto, the initial sharpness is way more than standard, and does give a much more progressive shove. As it has been piddling down, I havent given it the full beans in Race yet, but Matt reckoned between 500-550 bhp. Whatever, its definitely more than 460. But I copped a stone on the windscreen on the 250 mile journey home in driving rain, , and only found it today. Sods law. Anyone help with screens, pretty please !?

An X pipe is a must for all Granturismo's.

Looking forward to seeing the data for the remap.

Surely an x pipe is an X pipe isn't it. Only thing that could make one better than another would be any rough welding inside disturbing the flow.

I can't wait to see before and after rolling road pulls, sounds great! My Larini Xpipe was a real mess, full of burs and metal shards/swarf. Fitted **** too. I'd imagine it to be easy to improve upon.

Good timing. My Strad is going to Matt next week. I might need to add a re-map to the short list of jobs

Wow. If a remap on an N/A engine is gaining anywhere near that, then the old wives tale of ferrari 'detuning' them must be true.

Definitely would like to see a Dyno pull. It's a shame you didn't get a before one first.

Also, is it just an engine remap, or gearbox ecu too?
If just the engine, any reason why this can't go straight on a GT - Sport Mc-shift as well? :p

It’s definitely lacking in sub 3k pull and weirdly the Ferraris are similarly mapped.
It’s Engine ECU only and I have yet to drive mine hard as I have a knackered ABS hub….like many on here.

I’m preferring my H pipe as is happens, but in any form the Granturismo sounds awesome

What is the difference? Is there any power to be had?

Also Decat and 200 cell sports cats, is there really much difference in sound?

I was thinking about modifying the exhaust by cutting and adding connectors so i could swap cats/decat pipes (although not sure there is room to do this), its been done on other cars though

I think I am right in saying that an X increases the raspy sounds, an H seems to enhance the deeper tones. Both can give more pops and bangs on the down changes.

I would add that my H is noticeably louder that the X I had fitted before.

As for power gains they would be so marginal I would be counting on them.
