Standard 4200 shocks onto a GS

Hi,

2 of my GS shocks have cracked and I need replacements.

Due to the cost of replacement OEM GS shocks, to get me by is it possible to put the standard 4200 shocks onto the car without any other changes?

I have already disconnected the suspension ECU so dash warning light has gone and sport mode will engage the faster shifts and exhaust valves as normal so all good there.

I have never driven a standard 4200 so hope the shocks are ok for normal road use!

Any advice appreciated as always.

Cheers

Mike

IIRC, 2004, and later, 4200s has GS suspension as standard. Get you some of them. If I'm wrong, it WILL be pointed out.

Thanks, I'll see if I can find a difference in the part code to see if eurospares have the correct ones.

I presume they were not electronic on the later 4200, just with you saying same as GS I thought GS suspension was only variable shocks?

The GS just wound down the ride height on the adjustable spring platforms.
I believe Benny is correct, dampers and springs the same as the preceding and current 4200 at that time.
All UK supplied 4200 and GS had electronic skyhook dampers.

Thanks so the standard 4200 dampers on eurospares are for none UK market cars as they only have standard or sport option shocks which are for the GS.
