Its a lovely car. I recently retired after 40 years service and decided with my heart that I could not get rid of the QP 4.7S . Mine is a very similar car to that , also having had variators , cam chain, hydraulic lifters all replaced , I am just hoping that it will not be ruinous now that I am on a pension. Cant find anything I would want to replace it with

Sounds like you and I are in a very similar position although I have decided to sell my QP because I can't really justify keeping it now I am also retired. That said I am also not 'giving it away' so it will have to go at the right price..... or not all.

your car has emerged on ebay with 800 miles more on the clock.... I knew I've seen it somewhere before when I came across the ad.

Yep this is the one! Wow I'm amazed its reappeared so quickly! I only spoke to the chap who bought it just 8 weeks ago and he seemed to be really happy with it. I even told him that the paintwork and wheels had been coated with Ceramic Pro 9h ( after a full detailing), the variators / cam shells and suspension bushes had been replaced by the previous owner and I had fitted a new Maserati supplied battery 2 years ago, ignitor coil and ABS sensor (FNS) that was all. And it had just been serviced literally 400 mile's previously by Bowker Ribble Valley, Lancs. So as far as I was aware the car was spot on. But he did say that there was a dash light on when he bought it and asked if I knew anything about it. When I sold it to Mercedes there were no lights on then and it was purring like a tiger. I drove it from Shiltech (Leicester) to Stourbridge
( 60+miles) when I part exed it and it ran beautifully. From recollection the subframe was in pretty good condition to (Dynatrol sprayed). So just hope nothing serious has gone wrong with it forcing a sale.
I loved it when I had it but my circumstances changed meaning I had to move it on sadly.

By the way its 4.7S... not a GTS. But it has the GTS alloys and grill fitted with both front and rear parking sensors. Full service history to.

That advert is awful. Didn't take much time on it.

Maybe the new owner got hit by the covid redundancies.

Well I sold it to Mercedes for £15300 part ex, so in the current market ( which is only going to get even more challenging), I would offer them £12k and see how they react. Worth a cheeky offer just to test the water.
