I would not want my GS steering any sharper... if I sneeze I'm already on the other side or the road.

Well no bids yet and still for sale it seems so nobody biting the sellers arm off. I have decided it doesn't make sense for me at £30k or higher for this particular car.

Maybe a sign of the times now and ongoing that this has not sold as yet and seems from the sound of it to be generating little interest.

I didn't. I decided it wasn't worth £30k or more to me. Aside from the fact the workload atm is silly and I have zero time available.

If it were decent or the right price it would have sold by now I would have thought.

makes sense - there must be a number at which this would sell, but I suspect the seller has an inflated sense of value

I would be interested in it if the number was starting with a 2 but at the moment for me starting with a 3 in the condition I feel it will be with not perfect history it doesn't warrant a journey.

If I didn't have such a nice mint 4200 it might be different.

I'm sitting it out for a bit. Will see what the market thinks for a while. No rush.....Rome wasn't built in a day

Indeed. Might need to cancel New Year celebrations this year. I should think we might see an initial gradual reduction in pricing of some cars next year. That might accelerate with a rush to liquidise assets for people that need cash.

Who knows how it will play out. I can't really see a scenario for most areas of the car market to be strong or increase values. Although some areas have had strength for the 5k-15k market but that is a certain type of car and price. Most must be affected next year I expect. Not a problem if you aren't selling though.

I was expecting this earlier, actually. Precious little evidence to date. Very few GT Speeds around now, for example, when I first started looking there was usually 7-10 around.

Quite a few DB9s still (why do so many have bloody awful leather colours?)

Roughly the same number of MC's as before I guess

I'd agree prices haven't weakened much if at all yet. I'm convinced they will though just might need more time. Maybe Q2 next year onwards we start seeing some movements.

A winter of discontent and slight delayed reaction to reality thorough Q1.

The QE and money printing has delayed the likely effects somewhat it seems.

I’ve just been nudged by eBay to remind me the auction ends in 2 hrs… as yet zero bids

The likely worst case issues and scenarios with this car are well documented here (and elsewhere on many other Gransport threads) so the question for any prospective owner is £30K on the very best Gransport or £30K on a MC-Victory that may need a £10-£15K spend (and none of that urgent). For me, MC-Victory every time and once sorted you still have invested very little in what is an incredble car at the top of the 4200/GS game. I think therefore the opening bid sensible in this case but the market is currently speaking. Maybe at the end of the auction if no-one has pounced a conversation can be had with the seller. I know I would but I already got one.

Agreed John... I believe I currently have one of the very best Gransport, so while it’s interesting to watch, I’m not going to be bidding...

Agreed. I think the market is always the ultimate leveller. If it were worth £30k or more to someone at this moment in time it would have gone by now. That speaks volumes to me.

Either someone has seen it or the market doesn't want to pay £30k or more.

It could be the worst time to sell a car like this for the seller or the best time for a buyer to buy depending on the seller.
