Last Saturday the wife and I spent 5 hours sweeping out the garage after inches of water flowed straight through. This pic was from 7.00am after we had got most of it out, we started at 2.30am. Decided not to take pictures till after the water had gone!

The Mrs wasnt happy as I had been out and had a couple of whiskys, so she had to taxi me up there. Was very unusual as it never floods, looks like someone had blocked a stream to avoid their house flooding and it caused this and a lot more locally.

Got just below the sills of the GTS

That was a scary...

It was surreal sweeping water at 2.30 when i was almost half cut, really worried when i saw 6 ft of water cascading on top of the maser. all was OK though.

Its a warning to how strong the power of water is.

Lost my trickle charger, motorbike leathers and lots of bits. Nothing that cant be replaced though.

not really, the person up stream decided she didnt like her garden so filled the brook full of sleepers, these ended up 200mts down water at my garage. Shes been spoken to but didnt realize the reaction to her actions.

Gave me a good excuse to take them for a run mind...

I take it you have confiscated her sleepers and will be deploying them to guide future water away from the garage Frank?

£100's worth of sleepers cause £150,000 of damage ( or missed on this occasion!)....mix in healthy dose of stupidity and the sky is the limit!

I got away with it but the water went into a unit next door where a lady stores clothes - in card boxes, she didnt fare so well.

The sleepers have now gone and so has the bottom of that womans garden, shame!

The water filled my motobike boots (now in bin), ruined my trickle chargers (which when switched on and full of water didnt fare well) and various bit and bobs went to mush including my poster if a 250F that i bought from Goodwood...

All replaceable

Lucky though Frank, beggars belief how some people think. She is probably a Town Planner & thinks building in flood plains is a good idea....

That's a clear example of the "I'm alright Jack" mentality, dump my problem on to somebody else so long as I'm alright. It's really annoying how that seems normal to some people..!!
