just came across this guy on youtube, massive respect and hats off to this bloke, seems like a true grafter who deserves to do well in life

I went to the garage I use a couple of years ago , Steve had a massive furniture van in that wouldn't go in the workshop so he was doing the same as this on the forecourt in sleet

He rarely turned a job away , I went up another time and he was chipping away at the black death on a taxi engine , looked like a miner who'd just done an 8 hour shift

The jobs you never see at a tiled floor garage with an espresso machine in reception :D

He's given up now though , got offered a job that was too good to say no , he's earning more money but isn't happy

Interesting little clip on how much effort goes in to a race car even 50 years ago.

Just found time to take a look at this, well worth a watch.
I had no idea acid dipping a car and certain components to reduce weight was a thing, drilling yes, but acid dippingo_O, amazing.

There’s a story from when Penske were running the Camaros in Trans Am. They acid dipped the roof so much it was wafer thin. A scrutineer put his book on the roof and it caved in, they had to quickly divert his attention while someone climbed in the car and pushed it out.
