Just back from the local war memorial, quite dignified with the exception of about half a dozen selfie sticks and arms up filming it on phones! Really people do you actually get the message???

Well the rain stayed away for the parade.....Dan was nabbed to join the parade by his school at the last minute to.

Rain stayed away and even better the clouds cleared and the sun shone as The Last Post was played.

Big ceremony at the town Cenotaph.
Very very moving. I certainly will not forget what these lads and lasses gave up for me

Morning, all. Very fitting ceremony in our village yesterday. It's always a good turnout, and dignified, and there were more people this year than normal. Even a couple of Labrador puppies were wearing poppies, though I'm not sure they fully grasped the solemnity of the occasion.

In Dubai now, where the weather is just dandy.
