Forgot to say, the Strad passed its MOT but it did have an advisory....front tyres inner edges worn to the chords...I didn't know so check those tyres people!

Had a nice thrash out to fill up on Tesco Momentum 99 RON, £6.40 saved with a 10p per litre discount voucher. slithering nicely all the way there and back. 10 degrees C, tyres at 20+ degrees, still wheel-spinning at 70 if you get a bit jiggy with the loud pedal. Wonderful! But I do clearly need some proper tyres instead of P Zeros.

Dropped in at Lancaster on the way back and saw my first Portofino in the flesh. Holy Mother of God but those things are beautiful! I can see why Cali prices are tanking. The PF is trouser-tighteningly gorgeous.

I know that Adam Blake (Ferrari 488 Le Mans) has a Portofino on order . He had to buy one for his wife to be allowed to buy the 488 Pista he actually went in to Meridian Modena to buy . Adams comment was " l'll make money one them."

I wish I had these problems . When I look at my GS I think " You're gonna bankrupt me are n't you you big red metal B4STARD !" :p

No, mate! Your car loves you. Is it pleased with its new speakers? Can you hear them over the exhaust?

My wife would be livid if I bought her a Portofino, but that's because we'd need to sell the house first. It really was bloody lovely (the PF, not our house). Stood out in a very good way amongst all the 488s, 458s, Calis, GT4C Thingios, and the usual. The yellow LalaFerrari Aperta they had in the showroom was something special. But the PF still looked nicer. Less dramatic, but nicer.

Will Blakey have the 488 Pizza in time for Le Mans? He could do with something with a bit of character instead of that bloody fan-powered hair-drier he bought with him last year.

Good morning all up since 5am darn jet lag.
Hoping to buy a Jaguar XF 3.0 diesel today after looking at a really dodgy 407 Coupe V6 diesel.
Before the Mickey taking starts just want something to munch miles in.
Paris is Stunning and loving it.
Have a nice day all.

Morning, Forum. Sun's out!

Dave, well done. Nothing like slapping someone round the face with their own pointless, anal bureaucracy to get the day kicked off proper good.

Morning All, today I will mostly be finding somewhere warm to work!
Note to self double check you restore power to all circuits, heaven forbid you forget to re-energize the Jockey pump in a sprinkler house, causing the engines to start at 2AM & bringing out 1/2 of Devon & Somerset Fire Brigade & waking 1/2 of Wellington. Tail well & truly between legs today...

:frusty6: As far back as 1990 with one of my first work computers (Windows 2.0), I was working in a large development office as Clerk of Works, I was walking through the office when the director collared me and said"Go back to your desk, I've just sent you an email." There is no accounting for stupid sometimes....

I'm sure you've had worse starts to the day. Actually, on second thoughts.....

Morning all. Thank god it's the weekend, been a bit of a slog this week.
A nice lottery win tonight would do wonders. I don't think I'm cut out for this work lark.

Morning all
Lovely day here but a hard frost too.
Off to Leeds shortly to meet number 2 son for lunch and a chat.
Hopefully back in time to hit the dizzy heights of the Hotsy Totsy places in Middlesbrough tonight

Long hard day yesterday. Great team work by everyone though.

Dinner last night was pretty superb.
Realised I left my power supply at home so the laptop is about to die. Time to head home I guess :D

Oh, milestone post....So probably the best place for it on this thread that I started 8 years ago. Hasn't time flown.
