Morning all........Supermarket depots in the area are asking for sh1t loads of pickers etc for 4 weeks. Local Tesco depot wants 100 more colleagues. The Asda I used to run wants 50......Currently trying to get my colleagues into these depots through our agency user so they get work while we don't have any. I have 160 warehouse and drivers and current have work for 15 of them.....Already sent some to Sainsbury, Nisa as these are DHL contracts so easy...Lathwaites next target as they are in undated with orders. Managed to rent 10 sqft of the depet to the prison service and got 15 colleagues picking the parcels for prisoners. This is far more stressful than when we just delivered our own alcohol....Got to be positive and smash this full on.

Get well soon Phil.

Morning Andy and to you all.
I feel on going in the right direction but still have the coughing.
Ms French now not feeling well.
So under the rules here neither of us will be allowed out.
Just take care all.
I feel self isolation is going to be the only way for all to stop the spread.

Well done, Andy

Phil glad you're turning the corner, best to Mrs French!

Staying mostly at home today, trying to assist with our local action group. Take care, all

Good morning everyone,
What I'm astonished at is the length of this panic buying. I thought that once the brain dead idiots have filled their freezers and second freezers that would be it but no. It continues.
Rant over, WFH again, we have daily check ins at work for our sanity sake via teams and our boss tells us to get out for a hour. Speaking with my niece her company still have a draconian attitude of counting pee/*** breaks etc. We're going to have a lot of mental health issues after this.

So if anyone wants to chat, feel free. Pm me if you don't have my number.

Morning all, I’m back to about 95% today so getting there. Phil and Mrs Phil, wishing you both a speedy recovery, I’m guessing you probably bought it back from the wedding last week. Jeanette and two of my lot did a trail of local supermarkets last evening and managed to plug some of the gaps as Asda cancelled Thursday delivery with less than an hours notice. Just daft isn’t it.
Anyway, off to do a number of minor repairs at various sites today.

Have fun all...

Morning all!............Good to hear your on the mend Phil!............My last day in the office for........Indefinitely! Stay safe you crazy kids!

Forgot to add. Louis last day in school!............All that revising for his GCSE's and there won't be any! no Prom! Karen was in tears last night. I hope the government make the right decision when it comes to dishing out the qualifications or there will be a massive up-roar!! Saying that, I do agree with the decision to take the kids out of school.

We came back from the UK on a night crossing staying in the cabin the whole time with no fresh air and breathing everyone else's.
I can see why Cruise ships have so many problems.

You could try Royal Mail, some of their resource is being moved to medical supplies, I’m sure DHL are managing internal shortages but you might try the Network Rail contracts.

Good luck.

I take my hat off to you Andy! A sterling job you and your team are doing. The supermarkets and the NHS need all the help that they can get. Hopefully others will also respond to the "call to arms" in the same way as you are!! :)

Morning all, another day WFH but at least I got a decision on something other than C19 yesterday, take the downtime opportunity to push a system live (will keep me busy for a couple of weeks). But today is Friday, so early finish and roll into the weekend

Morning all. WFH. Theres a surprise.

Hopefully will be able to get some clarity with some of the schools we work with. If the kids aren't there, we might be able to get in and do some work.

Newton, I'm very pleased that you're pretty much repaired. Well done!

Morning, all. Another day at the coalface (coalminer: there's another job you can't do from home very easily. Not unless you have a feckofa deep cellar, anyway). This dry tickly cough is annoying and not getting any better but, happily, it's my only symptom. Sometimes, as Freud would have commented if he'd still been alive, a cough is just a cough.

Stay well, all.

Found myself at the Stratford Caribbean wholesalers window again for lunch today; oxtail and rice’n’peas with a chicken patti. All fantastic and also bought a ‘never had that before drink’:

67100

When I say drink... It has taken me all afternoon to chew my way through a pot of porridge with alcohol!

Morning all.......Couldn't sleep been awake since 3 thinking work. In light of the closure of pubs etc our operations stopped yesterday....so had redeployment of colleagues in my mind.......Usually count sheep to go to sleep not colleagues.....probably why it didn't work........
