Morning. spent the morning walking through garage plans with the builder need to make some adjustments but he will be back tomorrow with his partner (the guy with the digger) to walk over the site and check out the current garage and its foundations to see what if any we can re-use. Moving forward but given new movement restrictions here it will now probably not start until next year.

I've managed to obtain a document I need from a business contact, all I need to do is change the names and a couple of other bits and I'm good to go.

Saves me a small fortune in legal fees.

Be careful. The devil’s in the detail and it’s easy to make a wrong assumption about something that looks trivial but isn’t.

Just need to be careful that the source document was a good document to start with.
Very often the deficiencies in legal documents only come to light when you come to rely on it in times of challenge / difficulty.
Also be careful of where documents are issued / received and signed as that can affect their meaning.
Having said that often legal documents can be overcomplicated and simple common sense works well enough.

A soggy good morning, got a couple of finishing jobs on the bridge and adjacent to it and some shopping later. Then some admin and hopefully off for a final club paddle of the season.

Have fun all...

Morning all, well I think its morning but it is very dark and the sea mist has rolled in so can't see further than 10M

Also last day before level 5 restrictions which shut all but essential shops and limit us to non essential 5km movement from home for exercise periods, hopefully slip out for a lunch out with Mrs Z

Hope you fail the test, @jasst. Our youngest phoned from uni after he needed testing: "I have positive news. No, wait, negative news. Anyway, I passed. Or failed. Anyway, I don't have COVID."

Morning, all. A morning of hammering away at the keyboard and wrestling with stuff this morning and then this afternoon a call that will be interesting, not so much because of the content but because of the mix of people on it. Anyhoo, all going well in the working for myself world and I'm utterly enjoying being free of the chaos of peeves, whims, hallucinations, paranoia, egos and fuckery of working for some others. On the other hand, I've been threatened with a long-term contract so let's see whether the lure of filthy lucre overcomes the simple pleasures of doing whatever the h3ll I want.

Have a good Wednesday all, and stay dry. It's a bit damp out in the wilds of East Anglia.

Morning all. Just got into the office. It is clearly drive like a dick day today. Examples of which were someone who parked on a blind bend, 40mph on the outside lane of the M20. Driving through red traffic lights and the best one, parking a bloody great lorry in the middle of the road so no-one can get past!
With the driver, no-where to be seen.

I wonder sometimes how I ever got my licence! :rofl5:
