Morning Andy, bit early for the Chardonnay?

So it’s the weekend, but what to look forward to?

A list of jobs the wife sets me and no pub, in fact no drinking (T-minus 8 days and counting)

Prefer being at work if I’m honest.

Sunday is the new Friday for me

Morning, all. Just done an hour PT over Zoom which was pleasing.

Calls today, then the weekend. Have a great day, all

Morning all, it's Friday

One of my team leave today after 22 years with the same company (his only company) I had to sign off his redundancy package to say he is happy is an understatement I would be too if it was mine.

Morning everyone!
Not much to report today but it's sunny outside so I'll make it a good POETS day.
HapPea Friday!

Morning all. WFH. Already done a few bits, to keep the wolves from the door.

Might have an easy day today and a ride on the bike for good measure, I'm trying to do 7 days on the bounce, 4 down, 3 to go.

Is this out on the road? Or your Zwift thing?

C

Zwift. Far too icy to be out on the road.
I'm a fair weather cyclist as well. If it's cold, wet or windy it's Zwift in the garage.

Not as enjoyable as being out in the fresh air, but certainly serves a purpose. Especially if you only have an hour to spare.

So, how does it calculate elevation, and further, how does it adjust resistance to make it right? Curious as my exercise bike just (obvs) has resistance and I'm curious as to the mapping to a real world....

The trainer increases resistance when you go up hill, and decreases when you go down.
So it actually feels like you are riding an actual course or road.

Cheers, so you've got the smart trainer at a guess? Can't see any other of the options allowing altering resistance.

I guess I was more curious as to how 'accurate' it maps the effort of riding a bike up a real 5066ft vs on the trainer. Just the kind of question I worry about :D

I've a got one of these https://www.7hundred.co.uk/51725/pr...MIycTOntWv7gIVjbTtCh2L8A8sEAQYAyABEgJp2vD_BwE

In all I can track cadence, H/R, Wattage Output, speed, mileage, elevation climbed, time in the saddle.

So pretty comprehensive, if you link it to Strava you can break it down further where it calculates the heart rate zone for that workout, power zones, it's almost endless.

In fact. It'll be right up your street!
