A 308 GTS auction buy by Jack, formerly(?) of this manor, who some will recall bought a GS. What could possibly go wrong?

Possibly a lot apparently

Can't believe how much he spent on a tired left hooker with unknown history. He could have done far better if he'd shopped around, and no doubt a RHD too

But that ain't what draws the YouTubers in though innit? They are looking for jeopardy and drama.

It is probably the most infamous and most commented of his collection.

Bit of a damp squib new video today. I’m just hanging on until he takes it to Ian Tyrell. He’ll listen through his length of tube, tweak the timing or change a camshaft and it will be running up to 8000 revs in no time.

Shame I'm not on social media, I could have made a fortune waffling on about the last 8 years with of my old 3200GT!

Suggest you don't go and check out @ratarossa's You Tube channel then

I love ratarossa. Spoke to him the other day actually, he’s a really nice bloke. I want to go to his house and clean that 512BB so badly though.

Mate, you really need to get a life that most of us understand, like paying bills and mortgage and stuff!
Cars are kind of ok, but we don't really need "ratarossa" who ever he his waffling on in the middle of global pandemic, thanks!

Well informed, rationale debate... good to see the standards are being upheld on here.

Ratarossa was waffling on long before the pandemic. It's broadly entertainment, some might argue educational, teaching the world how to do things like a $20,000 cambelt change on a 355 for peanuts using an allen key and some ducktape.

I've been grafting all my life to get to the point of not needing to worry about paying bills or having a mortgage. Sounds OK to me

Like most things any thing you read or watch is optional and not compulsory.

I've not watched most of his stuff as it isn't so relevent or useful to me at the moment. Who knows one day it might be

I've always found the content interesting enough though so not sure what the issue is. If he provides enjoyment and is useful to some then all good.

That's a bit of an odd response Dave. He's just a guy that enjoys working on cars himself and isn't worried about winning a concours event, just getting the unloved ones up and running and then using them. It's hardly offensive viewing.

I enjoyed watching the Influenzo journey so far. Nice to see a car being worked on and what the various bits are supposed to do and how. So hats off to him. Looking forward to Ian Tyrells contribution too.

That guy was briefly on this forum when he purchased the grey GS from a forumer and kept it for 6 months before shifting on.

He said a 996 911 carrera was a better allrounder than the GS... Different strokes for different folks eh...

For another view on 308/328 ownership try this. I did put in on the YouTube thread but worth it again mainly for the looks on Matt’s face every time the mechanic says “and we need to change all of these”

I don't know why all his viewers are asking him to clean that car before he's even restored it, lol.
Only reason I'm still watching is I want to find out what 'nawty' stuff went on with sale of the BB, that he is getting the lawyers in.... Intrigued

Always best to clean a car that dirty before you start, stops all the dirt ending up in places you don’t want it like the engine.

I hate the build the suspense thing just tell us FFS. It’ll probably be nothing of note.
