My Dad went to Thailand 10 years ago with a friend, and came back all love sick over a girl he met 'with so much in common' who was younger than my sister. She couldn't even speak any English.
Hook line and sinker but he wouldn't listen.
Sold up in the UK and bought properties in Thailand.
He's 80 in a week, ting tong long gone onto the next sucker as soon as he had health issues, and needed to return to the UK for prostrate cancer treatment and a heart bypass operation.
He's currently 'stuck' in the UK and regrets selling up and having all his property in Thailand.
My cousin went to Thailand, met a woman, used to drive them around fully armed, still married to her 35 years later. It’s easy to judge, but sometimes it does work, maybe not many, but sometimes.

I have no pictures because this thread is somewhat, out there, but if she hasn’t been mentioned before, that Cat Deely fella, used to be with Ant and Dec. My brother reckoned she was giving him the come on in the 90’s in HMV.

One of my finest techs married a girl from Thailand that he met on hols. Happily married, living north of London from memory. Have been for about 20 years.

Another two have married girls they met in Peru, backpacking. One over 10 years happy, the other over 5 <shrug>

OTOH some of the websites my father visits <shudder>

Too big for what!?

On another subject, when you put a pic of your car online and you want to block out the number plate that last shot is much better than just using a rectangular box.

I refer you to my Demi Lovato post early in this thread. Much distain was given. We firmly established the curvy / non curvy crowd

@CatmanV2 what's your father's fetish then.
My late father was happily married to a Malaysian lady younger than myself for many years living in the jungle of Borneo 40 minutes out of Kuching.
He built a bay fronted 1930's style bungalow in brick as opposed to living on stilts.
His wife and family still there.

If he bought properties in Thailand they had to be in her name, so he was on a dodgy wicket to start with. I have seen such relationships last many years, but honestly those that have lasted have only been those, where by, they have moved to the UK and the Thai lady has been removed from her environment. Before entering into such an arrangement a good book to read is called private dancer, some bits quite comical, but in general if you speak to anyone who has had any extensive experience with regard to Thailand it is very factual. In fact it should be mandatory reading for dads that go to Thailand.

All this from a screen grab from tiktok , my own personal opinion , should my marriage fail at nearly 60 , given the choice of a younger woman and having kids again or cutting my knob off I'd be reaching for the knife drawer , **** that.

Yes i know its complicated.
He had a house built with pool etc and it's owned by a Thai company with shares split between himself, ting tong, solicitors which he has control of so a controlling majority share, so I believe.
He only lived in it a few months and when he first came back to the UK for our summer with ting tong, ting tong wanted to move in her parents with.... her young son. My dad didn't like the idea of that so decided to rent it out, and is still rented out. He then bought an apartment as well for when he stays out there.
I've never been out there to see him when he's out there, and never want too.
After ting tong Mark 1 disappeared, ting tong Mark 2 appeared for a while (but not brought over to the UK like the first one) even younger, probably still available if the barts are available.
I'm sorry to say as you can probably tell I'm not impressed or happy with the situation!

How strange and coincidental both were called ting tong.
