I will get interior pics tomorrow, looks good in black leather/alacantra with blue stitching and blue roof lining.

Maserati is kept in a different garage. This photo was taken when the detailer came to protect the paint on the Maserati. This garage stores the smaller toys:
An E30 alpina, excellent, still with the original sytner plates/window sticker on too if I’m not mistaken!
And another nice black car.

Thanks for all your help guys, fingers crossed for the inspection with SportsItalia.

I am considering selling my car privately and can always px if required. I wanted to see if the price seems fair? Its a 2013 facelift Sport with MC Shift. The car has done 36,750 miles and at last service (4k miles ago) had 31.5% clutch wear. It has been serviced annually apart from one year(covid). It has the usual known issues addressed (cam cover gasket, battery, ABS sensor etc). I am biased but I think the colour and spec is beautiful. The cars for sale similar to my spec and mileage with traders seems to be close to £45k, so is a private asking price of £41k reasonable?

Prices have increased a fair bit lately. Yours appears to be a decent, well looked after car with some of the common issues sorted. Price would probably depend on when your next service is due, but I don't think your far off at all compared to what else is for sale out there.
Just remember, yours is one of only 46 Sports with MC-shift. Also, has it got MC-handling pack too? It appears, a bit lower than standard. If so, even rarer still.
So got to be worth a premium over an auto/skyhook car, but only if the buyer knows their stuff.

That is just stunning…Think I prefer this blue to your new one.

My wife said the same thing. I would love to keep both but I hear divorces are very expensive!

Didn’t realise there were only small amount of Sports with MC-Shift and starting prices at £47k? Not sure what they sell for in the end.
Is there an easy way to check if the car has the MC handling pack?

On the spec sheet it'll say MCHP.
Or if you look in the wheel arch it'll look like this with red springs, and black shocks that say MC on them in red......

It's basically the same suspension and ARBs as the Stradale.

If you ARE testing the water with a private sale, I'd put a dedicated post on here with all the details including the above, as it does make it a stand out car.

Maserati told me about 10% of the UK MC-shifts had the handling pack. So about 5 facelift Sports had mc-shift and handling pack.
I'd be suprised if there was another one the same colour and spec as yours.

Hope you get it bought Elan, looks a treat. Can't wait to hear an honest comparison between the your current MC Shift and the Strad.

I think the MC Shifts are complete bargains, and will be where the money is in 10 to 20 years as a collectors piece. Someone will be getting a great car.

Firstly congrats on the purchase and hope it goes to plan, the car looks absolutely stunning.

Your current GT also looks stunning. I’ve monitored prices quite closely over the last 10 months and saw the rise in used car prices really kick in during May. This continued slowly through to the end of September but has now plateaued with prices on some marques now dropping. WBAC has sadly been driving the used car market pricing, which doesn’t always allow for differentiation between good and not so good cars.

On post 2012 facelift cars I often see that the MC shift equipped cars sell more slowly than the Auto. This was certainly the case when I was looking for my GT and still see this now. A great example Auto which is well priced sells within a week, whereas a post facelift MC Shift in similar condition can take a while longer, plus for slightly less. I think this is primarily due to the facelift Autos receiving the revised software which more closely replicates the MC shift changes, not quite as sharp or immediate but an improvement on the previous software. Hence making the Auto a more rounded option. This resulted in less sales of the MC shift cars post facelift. For the MC Shift experience there was also the Stradale on the market.

Auto trader has over 80 GT’s for sale and many have been for sale for quite a while due to opportunist pricing. The MC shift cars are still absolutely superb and yours looks stunning and well looked after. Whatever the Dealer has offered you for yours should be a reasonable indicator of what you can get privately. Plus don’t forget with a private sale you may get dreamers and ultimate bargain hunters among the few that enquire.

The positive of being on a forum like this is that there will be potential buyers waiting for good cars to appear (this was me a few months ago!!), so fingers crossed they will pm you…

All the very best and look forward to seeing more pics of the new car

Thats a great buy for someone, especially starting with a '3'. I bought mine privately from a forum member and its been fine, saved a few '000 of course too from dealer price. Having said that there were none for sale anywhere anyway at the time so i didn't have the choice!
Bit like this one though, you'll struggle to find one in this spec anywhere, maybe for years, so if its the spec someone really likes you are best off buying it before it gets px'd and appears for probably 3-5k more soon after, albeit with some trade protection/finance options etc if thats what you feel more comfortable with.

Good luck with the sale, im sure you wont need it!

Well done on you stunning new purchase. Bet you are over the moon.

Thank you, really pleased and a lovely drive home.

Awesome, has the Mrs noticed your car has changed colour yet? ;)

She got drafted along to drive me 100 odd miles to collect the Strad so I hope so.
She has put up with my addiction to cars, not bad considering she is French!
