What? Sh!tting the bed and missing the race weekend? Apologies! lol

Oh, I'm sure there'll be a bbq to entice you out of bed. Le Mans isn't all about the racing, you know.

Arnage was pretty dead last year, I thought. We'll need to find the new Arnage

Drivers parade is a perfect example of what the French do badly, takes hours and is as dull as dishwater. Saying that we are going this year as my co-driver has never been, we have however booked a really nice restaurant for lunch to offset the boredom

I would be up for the drivers parade through the village as both my co driver and I are le mans noobs but I would rather avoid it if it is poorly organised + boring... Is there something better on at the same time?

its a nightmare to get to, Ive been to Le Mans every year since 2006 and never been to the drivers parade due to fearing the traffic and my unpredictable bowels after 5 days of kicking the **** out of them.

No traffic, just jump on the tram

Myself & Ho-Yin went for a couple of hours, parking wasnt really an issue, perhaps we were lucky/ early, we had a rather nice meal to break it up too...

I hope to do the racers parade in the town centre. I've been to le mans for countless MotoGP and 4 24 hours races but never been to the 'centre ville'...
My 33rd year at the 24H and now own a property opposite the Hotel de France in La Chartre.

For about the first 10 years, I assumed Le Mans was all like the nondescript post war property surrounding the circuit.... then I went to the drivers parade a discovered the medieval old town centre by the Cathederal..... what a revelation!

Beautiful timbered buildings, several housing top notch restaurants. Now it's a must for a leisurely Friday lunch before the race and I'm often there weekends too outside of the race when the menu's are more varied and half the cost.

Make the effort and you won't be disappointed. You can take the tram from the circuit and enjoy a few drinks without worrying about the Gendarmes;)

Anyone heading down for LeMans going past junction 33 of the M6 (south Lancaster) or M58 in Ormskirk? I need a GS rim collecting from a member and bringing south through the SM network to me.

I’ll make sure it is out of the boot ahead of UK departure.

Beer tokens on offer for the favour.

Probably not much use but I am in Newcastle under Lyme on Sunday and going over the water at Dover on Thursday.
