Did you try LWR?

C

I was researching them. Some guys company. Sure they are good but saw a lot of recent bad comments.
I’m under no illusion that people with bad experiences like to shout louder but there was a view and suggestion was a victim of their own success at the moment in that gone slightly downhill due to high demand?

Can's say I'd noticed. I've had one of my Tags and my Cartier done since lockdown.

I doubt you'd save that much though.

Therein lies the kicker, not much between them all.
Apart from that watchmaker one just quoted but according to that site £250 for my speedy?

Why would there be such a vast difference in price for someone with such qualifications ok the subject? Where’s the catch?

No catch, but you will have to wait in a queue for good reason. Watch repairing is a hobby of mine, and I can tell you that Christian is one of the best all round watchmakers in Britain.

Yesterday evening I watched Apollo 13 - I was inspired to dig out the Speedy and swap the strap over.
Never done this with the Speedy before, and there's a bit of a sense of occasion...
Thought it was fun to compare against the GMT, another watch that was used for space flight.

Love a Speedy, the Bulova company built the tuning fork Accutrons because it was thought that a mechanical balance watch wouldn't function in 0 gee. Many watch co's submitted watches to NASA to test, but NASA handed employees cash, and sent them to various jewelry stores to purchase off the shelf watches to test. The Speedy was by far the best. My dad's Spaceview was what started me on watches, and the Accutron Astronaut is one of my favs. The Omega f300 chronograph is also a superb watch. (and I understand one of Prince Charles' favorites)
