They are even worse than they look

One of the worse looking features of the 4200 and Gransport apart from the infamous Fiat Punto key, has to be the door hinges, which look like they were crafted and designed by a child.

The hinges on my old Alfa GT were of a similar standard if not the same hinges and as with the Alfa GT, they have now dropped causing the most unbelieveable creaking when the door is opened. Aside from the noise which is really annoying I don't think it will cause any further troubles but to fix this if it is the same problem as the Alfa will cost a small fortune.Anyone else have this problem?????

I remember Clarkson commenting on it in his assassination of the 4200 when he first drove it.

Mine are OK. As smooth as a cat p1ssing on glass. Perhaps you are just a bit unlucky UM.

I recall the door fell off Rob4WD's car just after he'd spent a goodly amount getting it fettled for sale. Took some explaining to the new owner, as it fell off as he was driving it home straight after buying it!
