Agree, although the WD integrale was an 8v. Based on the fleeting glance I saw on the trailer the sausage one is and EVO. Let’s hope they aren’t just going to change the alternator, mop it and stick a slightly less broken grille on it.

I think the SOS one had an engine rebuild circa £10k from what the guy said

I'd like to see an actual car show made where they properly test normal stuff. Hasn't been much of that since the demise of 5th Gear. Couldn't care less how fast cars go round a track, it just isn't relevant to me in any way. I'd rather see a review of dailies where they have them for a few weeks, using them, carrying their kids/dogs/bikes/sofas etc and tell me what they find in reality.
!

I had the same thoughts watching this episode, I'm bored watching some supercar I'll never own going sideways while the driver yelps and makes faces. I'm a car nut and I'd actually like to see a show about cars.

Seems like there is a gap in the market. More 5th gear but without the annoying presenters.

I take it 5th Gear isn’t produced anymore?...not seen it in ages.

I only really arch top gear for the cars now as it the entertainment value isn't there like it was. Some glimpses of funny but not much. Don't mind Chris and Matt but Rory ..... It's like he is in the wrong job .......

Agreed, Matt & Chris I can live with. Rory is definitely in the wrong job. He knows it & and it shows. I wouldn't mind taking his place though!

Guys, there is lots of 5th gear style car reviews on YouTube.... carwow is pretty good place to start for that type of content

The 5th gear style has become old boring and stale in the format of a 30-60 minute tv show

Also all of Chris Harris' youtube content is fantastic

Agree...the 'Old' Top Gear format with the Chris Goef....or something like that just wouldn't work these days or bring in enough viewers......We are not the majority but minority........ you tube has all the reviews you could possibly want which is another reason car programs are more entertainment that proper car reviews.....People like seen through glass and the ones above have reviews by the bucket load and good ones at that.

Just caught up on the last episode.
Enjoyed it, for entertainment the big foot hunting was good viewing.

It was very good and I think the formula of putting Chris and Matt together and Rory on his own works better as a three Rory doesn’t work.

Fantastic episode.... Three car enthusiasts emersing theselves in Japanese car culture... how refreshing.

I really would like to visit Japan, definitely on the list

Anyone know why they were struggling with the toll booths? Or was it just scripted?
