Do you ever get that feeling that Sebastian Vettel has realised that he doesn't have to prove anything to anyone anymore.
He's got 4 World Championships, a worthwhile Aston Martin F1 drive, a fleet of cars and motorcycles back home that he likes to tinker with and the arrogance of competition is no longer (if it was there) a part of him.
A thoroughly nice chap. Or am I a million miles of and he's really a d1ck?

I think you are right Mart…You find this with drivers that have been at the top of their game…Take away that huge pressure and put them in a team that is mid field and they start to relax and just enjoy themselves more if would seem. I wasn’t a Vettal fan but he really is just enjoying what he does without that arrogance he used to have. A thoroughly nice chap as you say.

That Alfa looked impressive though, especially in green... see how it stitched that AM thing!

Dave

That Alfa did look menacing….….but £155k….Taking the rise with that one. But hey I believe they are all sold out so plenty of rich people out there that think a Guilia is worth 155k plus.

An even bigger eye opener was the McLaren that was 240k new but that one with options was 400k. You could have had a standard car and either the Vantage or Guilia in the garage for the cost of the extras. Crazy….

To be honest I think an hour on two features made the programme a bit boring.

Yes, I get that Eddie Kidd was a pioneer, but I wondered whether he was happy to see all the stunts or sad that he couldn't be out there with them.
My missus thought the later.

Funny that, so did my wife, although I loved the tribute. Also a big fan of all three presenters, Paddy sometimes a little too coarse, and Harris a bit daft as @Cyclone1 says. It’s a family show nowadays so don’t take it too seriously. It used to really wind me up, but once you learn just regard it as family/light entertainment it’s great. I mean what’s the alternatives on a Sunday @ 8pm? Antiques Roadshow?

i was thinking the very same thing as i was watching it and seeing him looking on like that, hence the welling up, his carer seemed like a really nice guy

The programme whizzed past for me.
I did enjoy the alfa beating the Aston / AMG in drag. Taking the seats out of Granturismo Stradale is one thing but taking them out of four door Alfa Giulia is taking the p!ss. "opens door and breaks leg on roll cage"

Without Bruce Forsythe Sunday nights are a deep,
bottomless pit of despair.

When you've had all the baths you can usefully have that day, that however hard you stare at any given paragraph in the papers you will never actually read it, or use the revolutionary new pruning technique it describes, and that as you stare at the clock the hands will move relentlessly on to four o'clock, and you will enter the long dark teatime of the soul.

Never heard it called that before. But. It sounds as apt as anything else. If not more so :thumb3:

I enjoyed it, especially the Eddie Kidd tribute, I still don't like Paddy but I can live with the others. The Giulia is awesome but I wouldn't spend £155k on a four door with no rear seats but then again to me a track car is small light weight and cheap something that you just shrug your shoulders if you bin it (but that might have more to do with my ability)
