Toyota Yaris GR as a daily driver

I really like these as well but it's still a bunch of cash when compared so something like a Golf GTI or Golf R. Or a hot Mini Works. The finance is decent but for the £6-7k or so deposit, you're into M2 territory and for me, that's the best small and fast car of them all just now. A low mileage M2 Competition, with a proper finance rate deal (not the rubbish offered by BMW), would be around £400 a month on that deposit.
For 24 months 0% APR the deposit doesn't have to be £7K, it can be between 0 to 35% of the value.
So whether you pay 0 deposit, or £11k deposit, being 0% APR the end figure paid after 2 years is the same. So might as well pay 0 deposit and pay higher monthlies, and draw off your deposit money rather than give it to Toyota upfront!

Oh, an M2...Now you are talking Outrun......Drove the standard one it its a cracking car.

They are a hard ride though as a daily.
Good friend has the M2 CP and he has ended up buying himself a second hand Mini Cooper S coupe for his daily drive into the office.
His girlfriend doesn't like riding in the M2 for the same reason.
Bit silly really as he has also bought the latest gen Mazda MX5 to replace his previous gen for track days.
The M2 just looks abandoned on his drive covered in tree sap!
It does actually highlight how good the M140i is as a daily though...

The demo cars have just hit the journos and they all appear to love it.
Still think it might be a bit small for a daily though in my case, and disappointing that the circuit pack car with the trick diffs etc is poverty spec.

Seen three reviews and all have been brilliant. Price seems to be a talking point but this could be the best performance Toyota for years. Who needs a big engine to have fun. This is the sort of performance you can use everyday and not just at break neck speeds. Not sure I would spend 33k on it with the performance package but fans of hot hatches who want one of the best probably will. At least it looks better than the hideous looking Honda Civic Type R which is the same price I believe.
