I’m thinking of getting my car serviced outside the dealer network but in Scotland we are short of specialists and I recall someone saying that the service ‘coupon’ is not that easy to reset without the right computer.
Anyway I discovered that setting the date backwards had the desired effect but you can only go back as far as the last service reset (so two years max) so I could not get the day and date to match in the dash which would happen if I could set it back further.
Please file under useless if not interested.
