Triumph Stag forum hacked by Syrian electronic army!

Ok the NY times and the US Marines web site, but an old Triumph car club web site?
Are we 'locked down' from such attacks?

Apparently they automatically search servers on the net and find security weaknesses and then apply the new web script, so indiscriminate.

Well, all template websites are prone to this and ours is just as vulnerable as the Stag one. We run the same Vbulletin software but our servers are heavily locked down.

We build bespoke websites commercially and don't use Joomla, Drupal or WordPress for exactly these reasons.

The truth of the matter is that if someone wants to get in they will, you just have to backup the server and web files on a daily basis which is what we do.

Going back to the old SportsAlfa site, Keith's server went down and he lost the lot....a lesson to us all.
