Tyres size on original 3200 rims?

You'll get a lot of tyre squirm and despite the little extra traction the car will not track as precisely as with the correct size. A 275/35 is about as wide as I would like to go although 285/30 is possible.

There are a lot of better tyres out there than the Contis that will be more sure footed in narrower widths.

Yes my thoughts too. Besides, there looks very little room for any wider so best to stick with correct width.
