Ok the cars I have owned that have not been company cars or technically the wife's.

2003 Hyundai Coupe SE

85498

1999 Lexus IS200

85495

2004 BMW 330I Sport

85493

2003 Maserati Coupe GT

85494

My favourite still is the Lexus. I kind of miss that car all the time... Simple, reliable, great manual box, fun handling... High revving 2.0 inline 6 engine really did sing and over 50mph it wasn't a slouch - just slow up to 30mph really due to the lack of power low down. It had some thirst for fuel, only beaten by the Maserati

My wife has only been driving for 9 years and she has had a pretty interesting car history so far

1999 Toyota Celica 1.8 VVTI 140bhp
2012 VW Scirrocco 2.0 TSi R-Line 210ps
2010 Mercedes CLS 350CDi Grand Edition - with Brabus eco tune
2013 BMW Alpina D5 Bi-Turbo

Company cars I have had:
2013 Ford Focus ecoboost diesel
2010 BMW 318d Touring SE (e90)
2015 BMW 318d Touring Sport (F30)
2017 Audi A4 2.0 diesel 190ps
2018 Jaguar XE Prestige 2.0 180ps
From 2020 I switched to company car allowance to no longer be ripped off by the HMRC for a car I don't want lol. My wife and I share the Alpina as a daily.

Interesting the number of cars men have had compared to women.

Charlotte is on her 2nd car after 30+ years of driving.
  1. Volvo 340DL
  2. MINI ONE 1.6

Don't blame you taking a car allowance instead of a car. Since joining my current company over 14 years ago I opted for the car allowance over a very decent choice of company car. All due to the great HMRC rip off. Oh, and have a fuel card too, so no worries on the MPG front either!!

My industry has only caught up to everyone else. Company cars were cheaper for them than giving a car allowance large enough to finance the sort of monthly mileage that we used to do before blahvid. Things have changed a bit obviously in terms of how much I am on the road and my company tripled the company car allowance overnight so it suddenly made a lot more sense.

Great. Someone who owns a Ferrari 612, but who doesn't know how to reverse sort a spreadsheet. What have I been doing with my life?

View attachment 85496
that's impressive Mark, especially as you don't have the spreadsheet! Unless you have too much time on your hands!
My sheet does record other data including financials but the depreciation cells are hidden to avoid undermining my man maths....
I will share that depreciation per decade since the 80s has dramatically increased but I plan to reverse that in the 20s and so far so good!

I don't have too much time, just a boring 'to do list' and an Excel obsession.

This is a car spreadsheet:

...and for Mrs MarkMas

Citroen BX
Toyota Celica
Volvo 850
Volvo 850
Volvo 850
Volvo V70
Volvo XC70
Volvo V70
Vovo V50

Which Celica?

Mrs FIFTY would change her cars every 6 months if she could as she gets bored quickly.

I get a little more emotionally attached to my cars lol

As a friend of mine says, "you know you have a lot of cars when you need a spreadsheet to manage your fleet."

:) some people are bigger car fanatics than others - if you're not a good mechanic then at least you can build your spreadsheet

Yep, it survived. I had it (a 1.6 GTI in Graphite Grey) from new, when I was 21. Sold it maybe 5 years and 60,000 miles later, still in great condition (but thoroughly exercised!).

Only Jags snd rollers have a hood ornament. That IS200 hood ornament is plain silly.

Crikey! I don't know, some craappy late 1980s thing a bit like this:

View attachment 85508

These weren’t crappy at all, they were great!
I had a metallic red 87 one, it was a really good all rounder. Handling and ride were excellent, great seats and driving position, loads of kit, big boot, would do 140 too. And it had pop up headlights!
Sold it to les battersby from coronation street.
