Seen it and agree the red trident grille is wrong on every level! I'll take it at 20 please.

I might need a V8 back in my life in the New Year and this caught my eye, but I'm concerned that it's been for sale for so long.
I wouldn't want to buy a world of pain.

Talking of which, for something completely different I quite like this: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/lotus/esprit/lotus-esprit-v8-gt/4856930
Don't do that to me...now that is a piece....love it....really not good for my bank balance looking at stuff like this! I would love it but not sure I could justify a 3rd V8 until the SL500 is sold. Buy it & take the temptation away from me please

LE = Option pack which gave all the options for a value pack.
xenon
full leather
parking sensors
leather roof lining
etc

still was extra for cruise and phone upgrade which was daft for a high end motor.

Nothing wrong with the GranSport from what I can see. It's an early car and low spec - tech cloth, no xenons etc. and a clutch reading that might concern some. It's priced accordingly, though. I sold my black 54-plate medium-spec GS with 70k earlier this year for £20k by comparison.

I am surprised this one has not sold yet. It is priced keenly even taking in to account the lower specification, especially considering the mileage.

Unless its hiding some hidden calamities maybe all they need to do to get a buyer is replace that red trident on the front grille with a standard silver item? Or maybe the market perception is that the cheapest one of a particular model for sale must always be cheap for a reason and in actual fact they need to add a few thousand to the price :rofl5:

That's probably why the prices bounce about so much, they put their usual profit on it, there's a few , that's cheap comments so they drop their whisky and get straight on the Internet to correct it

Then in 6 months when it hasn't sold and they drop it to where it was to start with everybody thinks there's something wrong with it

Now that's a lovely looking Esprit Dan...and a GT with sports seats...pretty rare. Loved the GT V8 as it didn't have that silly spoiler on the back....Price seems OK as well as they seem to be rising and not many goods one about these days.

It does seem to be a nice one. I shouldn't really have started looking yet as I'm not quire ready to spend that kind of cash. Fingers crossed there's an equally good one about at the time!

That Lotus is lovely and looks a very good example to me. They drive fantastically well considering the age of the design and underpinnings. And appreciating stesdily

Agree Andy, they're still very fast and handle very well. I'd have one of these over a 355 all day. This looks reasonably priced too based on others I've seen sell recently. Anybody interested needs to check when the cambelts were done as its quite a big job on them.

I had quick look around this car when I was passing. There is a tear in the tech cloth on the passenger seat squab which would be a pain to sort and at least one of the wheels needs a refurb. Black with competizione tech cloth makes the interior seem a bit dark and the red trident looks like a clowns nose. But it is cheap!

Chaps, it may appear to have been for sale since January, however, it's a car we bought and sold this February to an internet/you tubey generation chap (my 10 year old daughter knew of him and his family and she was suitably impressed that we'd met him!) who, given his reality TV lifestyle success, came back to us in June to replace it with an MC Shift (not sure he cruises these parts though). We're now selling it for the second time this year and other than it might not be everyone's favourite colour combo it undoubtedly represents very good value for money compared with every other 54/05 GranSport for sale in the UK, at least £2500 better than its nearest competitor. If the only thing putting you off buying it is the (hand painted red trident) we'd happily replace it for free!, cheers, Alistair
According to the ad this car has been up for sale since January http://www.sportsmaserati.com/classifieds.php?class_act=post_details&id=247

If that's the case it begs the question why?

The red grill badge is a bit much but otherwise it looks nice enough.
