Wheel arch road rash

I had the front arch edge painted with Raptor at my local body repairers. Also had new jacking plates repainted with it before fitting.

It's a perfect paint match, but the product is super tough.

I must be having a bad day can you point out which number it is on the drawing on the eurospares link please and are these just clear film strips?

Guessing they don’t go round the entire whee arch just small ones for the line of fire from back of wheel? And it is front and rear that’s available?

cheers

it's 40

But these are not strips.

NB they're needed as the rear is wider than the front so the front wheels will throw up stones that will then hit the rear wheel arches.

As Gaz said for the QP the curve is not quite right and they protect the external paint rather than inside the wheel arches.

Thanks folks.

So spoken to a local PPF place. They’ve advised they’re not sure how long such a small strip would stay on but £90 for all 4 corners so I’m gonna get it to them and just experiment with it.

If I got a year out of it and repeated every year it’s cheap enough. If it falls off straight away we’ll I tried.

Will update when it’s on

I second this stuff, it’s hard a nails and tintable to the colour of the car.

So that’s actual coloured pain that’s tough? Surely that can’t be obtained in the same colour and does it not stick out like a sore thumb as it’s textured isn’t it?

It is tintable. So you add the colour as you would to any base paint. On that basis, providing the tint is good, the colour should be the same. As for texture, it depends how it is applied. With a Shultz gun is it textured, if a normal paint spray gun, it has a smoother finish.

Retropower, who do a lot of bare shell restomods paint the underside of all their cars with it, even though it is marketed as a bedliner.
