Where have you been in your car this week?

Guisborough to pick up then
Esk valley route to Whitby via beautiful villages like Danby, Lealholm and Ruswarp etc.
very picturesque and some twisty roads for the QP to negotiate stop off for dinner and a pint (only one)
Excellent

I was due to do exactly that today, but decided to go through the Dales instead - wet mist and twisty for me !

Driving up to Edinburgh on Tuesday in the QP, new client, another bank, guess which!!? Back Fri, then it's remote working again, which sounds nice but drives me mad, hopefully I can fleece the mileage from my own Ltd and make enough for a new clutch which I will need if I have to drive up to Edinburgh once a week for a day or two. Will have to feather foot.....

Hey wanderer-

sounds like a good run- shame I'm not on the road myself; I'd meet you for a coffee / pint.

Marco; RESPECT; good for you! I would have worried about the Paris traffic MORE than the car!!

Arc de Triomph was certainly a bit hairy but not as bad as driving through Seville or Turin.

Done about 700 miles since Monday, all work related so just on motorways, must say it’s so quiet inside the cabin.

A week ago I took my Quattroporte to the Finnish Lappland, all in all 1400 km on the train and then another 1400 km of fairly empty roads:

Yllas scenery road

Wheather a bit rainy and +4 C. A couple of miles from that spot I saw an other Quattroporte, a series III. Didn`t expect that!

Below a pic in case the facebook page changes.

Drove mine from the garage to the front driveway and back today as I needed to use the garage space for welding.

Well, the weekend was forecast to be good so went to Paris in the Biturbo. Down on Friday night and back on Sunday afternoon. Love this car. Even got working air con now so can drive with the hood up to keep the sun off our heads.

I've been to Northampton to see daughter, then on to Eurotunnel to a wedding at Chateau D'Avency somewhere in rural Normandie, Bray-en-Lû or sumfink. Visited various places, Claude Monet's house and gardens (boring), and some pub he used to frequent. Food was largely ****, which I did not expect, everything was closed including banks on Mondays - WTF!!

Had enough after the week.

A16 back to Blighty, back in Wakefield then two days later back in the QP to Holyhead, Swift to Dublin Port, driving in and around Dublin Northside 1500 miles or so, no trouble apart from a scraping noise at back in Ireland, only on braking, never in reverse, gone away. Looked at the under the back, nothing seemed amiss, I think it was some shitee stuck somewhere since I saw plastic pint glasses in the in road when I first heard it.

Razzed off a few Golfs and Audis - and why not, for an older heavy car the QP5 is still agile and rapid, 5k revs, double-paddle down still does it for me.

Went to NCTS in Ireland for a butchers, ie their MOT centre (all State run) - like a scientific lab, girl in there almost in tears cos her car failed on emissions, I'm ok for 12 months on the QP as a temporary admission, I've read the law in great detail.
