3200GT 1560kg, I had to get that one in ;)

Dave
I am very dubious about manufacturers claimed weights, especially since a number of recent road tests have actually included actual weights. I think every one I have seen has been 50 - 200 kg above the manufacturers claim. It is all a bit like Italian horsepower claims in the 70s and 80s or the E Type top speed in the 60s..... Has anyone actually weighed their Maserati?

Given so many GS coupes are listed as spyders on the v5 I would take the HML data with a pinch of salt.

My Spyder has four seats apparently. Been trying to find the extra two everywhere - they're not in the boot and definitely not in the glove box.
Anyone got any ideas

I'm staggered that any dealer can think it worthwhile to have their working capital tied up, not to mention floor space consumed, not to mention on going costs of storing, maintaining and presenting a car. Would have thought they'd drop to mid to high 20's just to be done with it. I think Dave is right - as I cannot see why it would have sat this long, if it were a straight car.
It's a lot straighter than it was! Probably on SOR.

Wish I had kept my 360M Manual with 13k miles, TDF Blue, Carbon seats. Bought it in the banking crisis 2008 for £43k and sold it in 2012 for £42k.
With a bit of luck you might be able to buy in back for similar money next March!

I've seen it a number of times when my car was in and out of Giallo's with them trying to fix the oil leak. They've had it over a year now I think.

(Off topic)...

Geoff, If I remember correctly, you are in Gods county, Essex (as am I).. I assume you taking your car to Giallo this woud be the best Maserati independent close to Essex?

I’m guessing you mean in the last 20 years? Personally, I’d put the MC Victory up there with it and even the Gransport. But I’d also say that a Strad doesn’t get close to an original Ghibli or a 3500/5000 GT in the desireability stakes when considering the entire Maserati back catalogue.

I'm not a classic car fan and they just don't move me or make me want to drive them but understand why lots want to......I know the E Type Jaguar is suppose to be one of the most beautiful cars ever made but it just doesn't move me. Perhaps I need to be 10 years older. MC Victory as well yes......Two of my favorite Maserati's without a doubt.

It must be an age thing as I now prefer Classics to moderns although I will probably always have a modern motor around.
At 56 it takes me back to Good Times with my Dad being in the Trade and having many special cars in the 60'S and 70'S.
Many Jags, Ferrari 330, Iso Rivolta, Porsche 911, Jensen Interceptor lots of HF Lancia Fulvia with his connection with the Jolly Club in Milan.
All very fast cars in their day.

Incidentally, a 2 seater Strad weights less than a GS...with the carbon brakes, 4.7 450hp and a faster gear change :)

Strad: 1670kg
GS: 1680kg
Really? Surely not. A Strad must be more like 1855kg. Can't be the same weight as a 4200 or GS can it?

Maserati's own figures state the kerb weight at 1,800Kg. Whereas, other models, albeit Wiki-weights, are:
Coupé: 1,670–1,680 kg
Spyder: 1,720–1,730 kg
GranSport: 1,680 kg

Which would probably make some difference to talented drivers but, here in the real world, with expanding waist and diminishing hair lines none whatsoever.
I can't recall who said it but it was something like "Recaro seats are okay but I don't have a Recaro a*se". Just about sums it up I think.
