Dicky, yep...funnily enough, my wife did me an album of photos from our Maranello trip in 2011 and the back of the book was the snowy pic of my car that you have - it looks superb, and that was taken with a cheap point-and-click!

MAF, yeah, looks like I've got some dobbing lights inside but its just massive exposure! It doesnt show, but it was nearly pitch black when I took that!

Re the overexposure, I'm an absolute novice behind the camera so suggestions welcome....I'll learn eventually! :)

I'm not sure with you nick, you should be taking part in this thread at all ;)

It's all practice. I'm pretty sure I'd not have got it better. I think it looks great, and am just really being picky.

Here's another I did early on....

I say "early on" like I've improved - I havent at all!

I did try some 'light painting' with varying degrees of sucess...thats something I want to get better at.

You need to take several different length (or f-stop) exposures to control the lights blowing out and then use software to combine the images and get the right balance.

well, thanks for the positive comments guys, i will look into my camera settings when i get a chance, been busy and its all too easy to just keep using auto mode ha!
