Evening all,

I’ve got a few of these I’m making into keyrings - or you can have them without the keyrings just as cool fiddling toys. Being machined titanium they’re very light and have a lovely feel to them.

I’m not technically supposed to reveal the team name, but as these are from a 1980s car I’m hoping it’s fine. Also hoping nobody on here will tell on me.

If you have any questions please let me know, and if you’re from Williams please just ask me to stop and I will - no need to sue!

Best,
Ollie

Bought. I’m a massive Williams fan. My old man was mates with Patrick Head and Tim Newton back in the Montoya/Ralf Schumi days.

I'd need one with a B on it.... Or a C
C

I have variants that are blank, or with B, C, E (hand) engraved - just let me know on eBay or PM which order is yours and I'll ensure you get the one you choose.

Likewise

@breezer any more of a backstory to convince me to partway with my hard earned cash... It is a post covid economy and all that

I was (voluntarily) between jobs quite a few years back and spent a month working in my uncle's historic race prep company to see if I fancied an entire change in career. As part of this we visited various suppliers and customers - one of whom was having an "enforced clearout" as his wife wanted the garage empty before they moved house. He had worked for Williams and then on historic ones for decades. He had sold most of the parts that could be used but for some reason these hadn't sold so were going in the skip! I yanked them out on my way out because they were too lovely to scrap.

He said that I couldn't use the company name publicly, but I thought for a brief period on a niche forum it wouldn't do any harm. All he told me is they're from one of the 80s cars, and they're definitely simpler than those on the 89 FW13 (my only point of comparison!) so that rings true to me.

I'm keeping a couple for posterity but have no need for this many.

Love it, I want one but need it shipped to Ireland happy to pay any delivery adjustments
You have a PM

He must have some excellent stories!

These are lovely @breezer - 2 ordered (Corranga, Chris, Dundee). If you see this, I'd like one with a 'C' if you have one left, and any other one for the 2nd if possible.

Thanks,
Chris

Afternoon all!

I've posted the first half of the orders and confirmed those on eBay.

My apologies to anyone in the second batch (there are 7 of you): I've struggled with finding enough padded envelopes - those in batch 1 who receive theirs in really ugly used ones will attest to this!

I didn't expect these to all sell in the first 2 days, I have to admit. I have more envelopes on order and will keep you updated.

I'm amused by the concept that a titanium suspension component from a 1980s F1 car needs some kind of protection from the British mail system :D

Just spotted this.. great idea . can I add myself to the waiting list please

Sorry, I meant I have more envelopes on order! Unfortunately these were a one-off that I don't think I can get again. I'll ask around my contacts and see what else I might be able to get hold of though. At university I made some beer money by selling brake disk clocks with carbon fibre centres. They were fun!

Haha! I can't imagine they'll come to any harm but one should always use protection!
