Lots of nice machinery today, although spectators were a bit thin on the ground - which meant we got coffee without queuing for a change.

The Miller 'homage' was truly lovely, its history being on Bonhams' website.

A nice pair of Invictas:

And a goodly selection of other cars:

The theme next month:

Sunday 18th September – ‘BELLA ITALIA’ THE FINEST CARS AND BIKES FROM ITALY
If the weather's good it should be very busy!

It's a 'breakfast' meet, turn up in your Italian steed, park up walk around admiring other Italian steeds, talk to like minded enthusiasts and have a bacon roll and coffee if your inclined.

The Earl of Pembroke is a petrolhead, has a nice collection of cars on display at his home, and throughout the summer has a monthly breakfast meet or 'Wake Up' to raise funds for the Salisbury Stars Appeal of which he is President.

Cars reflecting the theme for the month may be granted entry to the Italianate garden (first come first served and at the discretion of the marshals) with everyone else parking just outside. It runs from 08.00 to 11.00 during which the restaurant is open and there's usually a kiosk serving coffees etc in the garden (although the queues at the eateries can be a bit wearisome). Dedicated attendees often arrive from 07.00 to try and get a slot in the garden, whilst lazy gits like me roll up eventually. Jasst sums it up nicely.

It's a lovely location, a great way to spend a couple of hours and if the sun shines on the 18th it's likely to be very busy.

They are an impressive thing. But still with too many McQuirks to be something you'd assume you could rely on.*

*other opinions are available

I’m not so sure with the later ones. They seem to have got much better with quality and reliability the last few years if you look at owner reviews etc. The 12C was pretty bad for issues the 570S was better when it came out but still some issues 2020 things got a lot better. The best value used one though must be the 720S. The quickest supercar out there for the money and they have lost a shed load of their new price. They call it a supercar but to be honest it has more Hyper car performance. I am pretty sure you can not get more performance for the 140kish starting prices you see them for sale at. What they do better than the others is that it will excite but also not kill you when just thinking about pressing the loud peddle like some out there so in that you could use everyday. To me they look fantastic as well.
