Windscreen seal

My 06 QP rubber recessed seals on windscreen and rear window always rub off black when I leather the glass and I noticed that the tight corner radius bends seem to have shrunk back a little from the body.

Has anyone suggestions for suitable dressing (Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber springs to mind) and also using a thin leak seal - I vaguely remember having a can of Comma ?? leak seal which was very thin and found its way all round and helped prevent microscopic leaks.

Lastly are the internal smoke pressure tests a diy possibility - just to put my mind at rest

I use Swiss vax Seal Fead to protect the rubbers...and it must work because I have no kids before anyone else adds that line!

Now found out that Comma leak seal was withdrawn from sale a good few years ago but search came up with Capt. Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure £6.99 from boat chandlery (cue thread drift) which I remember using to seal a TR7 debonded screen - by the way I believe it was the first car sold with a bonded windscreen - as usual BL great idea let down by faulty execution ie let the punters find out the problem.

Anything Swiss Vax mega bucks !! might give Gummi Pflege (on Amazon) a try
