Windscreen washers

Guys,

On my '14 GT I seem to only be able to wash the windscreen in conjunction with the headlights. Not sure if I missing something but on previous BMW/Range Rover Vogue etc it washed the lights every so many times the windscreen washers were used. on this one it seems to be every time. Therefore means that nice shiny bonnet gets a lashing of washer fluid every time.....

Also wonder if anyone has any experience of SwissVax? The car had a treatment prior to delivery but it appears in my opinion to mean that any rainwater or the slightest amount of dirt sits on the car and windows way more than any other car we have in the driveway. Always feels a bit 'sticky'. Anyone else tried this treatment.

Headlight washers go on every time with windcreen wash if headlights are on. Annoying but typically Italian. Soon forgotten when you rev that engine...

I have used Swissvax on all three of my Maseratis and think it is excellent. You will be surprised out how much damage there will be on relatively new paint if you ask the detailer to show you...money well spent if you go for it, esp if it is a daily runner.

Turn your headlights off, only drive when it's bright or drive over 80 mph with the lights on or off - all work fine in the context of the question.

Thanks guys. Living and working in London, it's always dark and slow during the week! -)) at least I now know how to get the windscreen clean without having to wash the bonnet all the time!

Had the car about 2 weeks. Loving it.

Noted comment on swissvax. Described some of the issues to Maranello and to their credit they are coming to pick it up and taking it to SVax it again.....
