Due to a chip shortage I'm reading it's unlikely Toyota will build any more than the 25,000 originally planned as they're building cars with the highest profit margin with the chips they have got.

I enjoyed my time working for Toyota all over Europe and gutted in some ways missing out on getting to see this model close up.
Might have to visit a dealership and take a spin here.

Welsh roads are great , the EU must've spent a fortune on them , smooth , wide A roads , even the B roads are good , most of them , the problem is some are like the B4391, long swooping bends one after the other , you don't need to be speeding to really enjoy yourself , then you'll turn onto another B road and it's single track .

There's no traffic this time of year , Ffestiniog to Bala , one 4x4 towing a trailer , plenty of overtaking spots and no line of 8 cars all following 10ft apart

I'm going to hate going back to the north west where everyone seems to be going somewhere at all times of the day.

We're currently stopping here , it's really nice if anyone is visiting the area looking for somewhere to stay

There has always been a market for rally inspired homologations even if this one got a bit lost, it won't be the first, and I use to love them all but as I get older I just see them as basic boxes with lots of plastic attached, powerful engines and clever drive trains but they leave me luke warm.

Glad your enjoying it but not for me underneath all the make up its just an ugly Yaris, as my mate use to say he's never been to bed with a munter but he's woken up with a few

I think you're a bit confused as to what the GR Yaris actually is

This is a Yaris GR Sport , the GR is a completely different car , not just this with 2 doors and some spoilers

The GR is hand built in the Motomichi factory , the only parts used from the Yaris are the headlights, rear lights plus a few pieces of interior trim

All of it including the chassis , engine and 4wd system are purpose built for the GR , it shares the Yaris name but that's pretty much all it shares.

I know there's not much love for the GR on here but a couple of months in I'm totally smitten with it , some ******* managed to scuff the rear bumper while it was parked but luckily it polished off , now fitted with parking dashcams .

There's only 98 of the base car in the UK , just over 2000 circuit packs but at the rate this is going there's only going to be base cars left , 2 LSDs and PS4s tyres doesn't make it invincible but they seem to think it does.

Looks great stickered up but I like the relative anonymity of it , car guys notice it , I had a BMW flashing his lights coming the other way a few days back , first thought , speed trap but no , thumbs up as we crossed, most people don't give it a second glance

I'm going to have to do something with that plate though , how hard is it to put it on straight.
