ZF Automatic gear box "learning"

I think I've read that the ZF gearbox adjusts to the style of the driver. Is there any hard documentation on this?
As an experiment I've started to pump my foot on the loud pedal just to see what would ensue (apart from noise and excitement). Don't know if it's just wish fulfillment but the car seems to now hang on to gears longer when pulling away and accelerating without being in sports mode. (and the gearbox thinks there's a lunatic at the wheel!)

My 7g box in CLS 55 could do this when it was reset. Not sure if the ZF can do it though.

The ZF boxes fitted to Jags and BMWs have the same learning mode for the TCM, and Maserati TCM can certainly adapt to a rolling (300km I believe) set of driving conditions/style. So, it's not immediate, but adjusts over a period of time. What does happen immediately is the selection of different maps in the TCM, based on what the car detects happening. So for example, with large throttle openings, it will use a different mode depending on the vehicle speed against load - essentially it can detect whether it's climbing a hill or being rapidly accelerated along a flat road.

The ECM has different maps too, again depending on the mode selected (sport/normal/cruise/ICE), and sends change info to the TCM according to the mode.
