New profile posts

New to this group. Had the car since last September, then had it SORN whilst a few issues were sorted. Rear suspension, sticky switches, wiring harness faults (burnt out in a few places). Taxed again yesterday, now if it would stop raining :). Will post pictures when I work out how to do it without a URL. o_O

Hi, hope you don't mind me reaching out. You posted last July offering to fix a failed central locking issue for someone trying to sell. I have the same problem as HTAFC4200 (he is selling - hasn't fixed it though unfortunately). My fob doesn't unlock the car but does disable the alarm. Key to open and then the fob can lock / enable the alarm. Sense it is out of sync? Hoping for a quick fix instruction? Ian

Hi Ian, I didn't have a fault with the central locking system, just the alarm. The key fob would lock and unlock the car, but unlocking the car didn't turn off the alarm. I had to have the alarm replaced by an authorised dealer as it needed to be programmed to match the keys and the car electronics.
Good luck with finding a fix for your problem.
Ik heb een Mas Duo select 2005, en de koppeling is met 56000 km vervangen, nu 62000km maar als ik gas geef rijd ie de ene keer als nieuw weg, en daarna met opnieuw starten geen ene cm?

Hi Ian, I wish I could say that I have, but unfortunately no. I haven't actually looked into it, as I've been busy doing other things to my car. It has been investigated in the past under the previous owner. If I ultimately keep my car, I'll look into it further, but right now it's for sale. If you make in headway could you possibly let me know? Cheers. Nick

thanks, will do. My only clue is that it is coincident with the battery going flat. I'm probably going to have to sell too as my car is getting very little use. Cant quite work out the market - the cars seem very under valued. Good luck.

They are massively undervalued. There are 2 on autotrader at 7/8k... that's crazy.

Thanks Bebs! I’ll feed this back to the specialists, see if they can recalibrate the voltage range on reverse (they did this on 1-6th as I couldn’t get 3rd gear on way down) but reverse won’t be calibrated during a learning sweep. If not, will see what parts are out there

It may be the mechanical arms on the potentiometer that are now worn. You will need a new set of potentiometer in that case.
Hi,

I saw that you owned a Maserati GT4. I am currently about to buy one as well, however, I cannot find much about the running cost of the car. Regarding engine, gearbox, Etc. Do you perhaps know more about this?

Alex
Hi Bebs, did you ever resolve your reverse gear failing in cold weather? My GT MC Shift does it, I get Park off and orange shifter lights. It clicks but won’t engage until the gearbox hits 15degC - very sure of this value!

Quick update if you wonder where my post went- the garage involved wants to keep a low profile so they asked me not to detail certain things. I know thats frustrating but they're doing me a huge favour so I want to respect their wishes. I removed my post,I will make a revised one later. Can you edit your reply as it has most post quoted, can you just remove the name of the specialist and that Ferrari parts work?

The potentiometer part number is the same for Maserati or Ferrari, it’s the same Graziano gearbox assembly. Not sure why Migliore would stress over that.
Anyway, post removed.

Something to do with where it’s coming from I think.
Hello Bebs,

I hope you don't mind me messaging you. Did you have a car play unit fitted at Sports Italia in a Granturismo. If so do you have any pictures and are you happy with it as I am keen to get one fitted by them.

Thank you,

Tim

Hi,
Yes I have the gen1 SI CarPlay installed. Very happy with it. Don’t have a photo to hand but it is essentially just a lay over screen that you can then toggle between the original car system or CarPlay. Works very well.

My GT is going in for 4 year service tomorrow plus top up under seal.
Anyone help with intermittent ASR light and Shock Absorber warning lights coming on randomly in my 2008 Quattroporte. Generally disappear when the car is stopped and restarted. Only thing done recently is a new rear wheel bearing with the wiring.
Hello just thought I would send one more message to see if these are sold ? No problem if they have Richard
Hi Guys

Recently purchased a lovely 2018 granturismo MC Stradale but have been told by someone it may actually only be an MC . How can I tell the difference as it says MC Stradale on the V5

Got Carbon brake discs? Has it got Stradale logo on dashboard? Does the identifier sticker on inside of door say stradale?
Hi not sure if you see my comment of your sale advert but wondering if the back boxes are still available cheers R

Hi Richard - apologies haven’t been online for a while. Please PM me your number if still interested.
I have made the offer to Matt direct - he is very bruised from what has happened, but we shall see.
