Not for me Matt...Although I've now dropped 2 stone in 2 months from no carbs and with that I can drink wine ever night...Much better than fasting....Good luck gents that one looks difficult to me....

Not a true fast Andy.........indeed dare I say its even a "diet"....just a smarter way of looking after yourself......the difference is....its for good.....not 2/6/12 mths...........99% go back to where they started out from in all other diets

Agree Frank...I will not be going back..This is a life style change and one that I'm feeling so much better for....Cutting out carbs as much as possible isn't a diet as such as you still each as much as you want..Works for me.

I'm with you, Andy.

I'm the one on the left in *both* cases ;)

Frankly I think *much* of the pseudo science around *many* diets is risible. 5:3 seems about as rigorous as anything else, *but* if it provides a workable framework to support for people in correcting their relationship with food / modifying their eating habits to promote healthy weights / body composition, then all well and good.

I wish you all luck.

Cheers, Klive.
My point is really: No gimmicks, no magic is *required*. And it doesn't matter how much overweight you are, or how long you've been overweight (in my case about 10 stone at peak and for, effectively, 25 *years*) it can be done.

Just done a couple of laps of town on the bike - but still 16 1/2 stone. Took a picnic tea, which was nice...
