Dem and I got drunk on Friday and hatched a plan to do this.

What it comprises of is 5 days of normal diet and 2 fasting days.

Dem and I have decided the 2 fasting days are Monday and Thursday.

You can have a maximum of 600 calories for breakfast and dinner skipping lunch as you have to eat nothing for at least 8 hrs during the day.

A couple of other guys on here have done this with 18-24 pounds being shed in 2-3 months.

The diet says you can eat normally on the other 5 days but for best results you should remain sensible for best results.

Anyone else care to join us?

The purpose of running a thread on this is for support as dieting fails due to willpower so hopefully this thread will provide an incentive for those involved.

Small bowl of Special K for me circa 175 cal to kick me off.

I am not sure there is a fasting period specified. She has a coffee for breakfast, boiled egg salad for lunch and soup for tea, or such like, so spread over the day. Couldn't do it myself, hence my wishing good luck. I am starving every two hours.

My wife did I too and it works well. Couldn't handle 2 days fasting though, luckily I don't need to diet, exercise is key.

Rules

On your fasting days, do not exceed 600 cals, you can eat when you like but just dont go over the 600 cals!!

Do not fast on consecutive days, must be atleast 1 days break of diet in between

Good luck, guys. I'd be up for it, but since I already lost all my weight.....
If anyone needs a shoulder to cry on, or moral support, I can offer to help.

Not just do it guys....but for the remainder of your days....no ifs or buts....the primary aim originally was to reduce circulating base level of insulin.....2ndly to reduce equally damaging high levels of cholesterol.........AND....3rdly....an effective side effect was a slow....note the word slow....weight loss...................WEIGHT LOSS is not the primary aim..........clear gentlemen????

Interesting.

I've read a few things about these diets and, for the most part, people are strongly in favour. I'll watch with interest see how you boys get on....good luck, the up sides are massive!

I have been doing this for the past 3 months and I have put on weight. Ok I have shed some timber and muscle is heavier than fat, but still....

Did the Bognor 10k yesterday, my knee went in the final third and I limped home 8 mins over my target time. Am considering giving up running as my other ankle is failing too, its not good for you.

Mrs Conaero (AKA Rachel) after a few wines on Friday agreed that I can do the California to Florida cycle with Urby. I am only doing it if I can go in front....I am not staring at Urbys @rse in lycra for 2k miles (a bit of sick has just come into my mouth)
