In addition to the famous Bader and Jonnie Johnson at the station, 'who' lived at Tangmere Cottage?

As far as I can remember, other RAF 'personalities' based at Tangmere included Hugh Dundas, Caesar Hull and Dicky Reynell. It later became a fighter leaders school so a lot of the RAF 'Aces' were based there at sometime or other. However, IIRC, Tangmere Cottage was an SOE base so perhaps someone like Violette Szabo?

Correct. They razed a village called Lidice to the ground and bulldozed it flat, but only after shooting all the men and transporting the women and children to the camps.

Someone Heydrich I think. There is a bit about it in Joe Sawards Grand Prix Saboteurs...

Right so far. Can anyone help him out?

Reinhard Heydrich

He chaired the conference that produced the concept of "The Final Solution". Extermination of the Jews.

Was touted as Hitler's long term successor as he was only around 40 when killed

Correct! It was the Wannsee conference that agreed the 'Final Solution'. Heydrich was killed by Jan Kubis and Josef Gabcik who were SOE operatives. They found refuge in the crypt of St Cyril's church in Prague where they were betrayed by one of their colleagues, Karol Kurda. After a fire fight, they shot themselves with their last bullets. The crypt is now a very atmospheric museum as it is exactly as it was when those last shots were fired. Your go.
