Hi Guys,
My car has been with Maranello in Egham for the last 7 weeks as someone managed to somehow drive into the back of me in standstill traffic last month The garage replaced my rear bumper and my car was ready for collection this week.
After collecting my car I needed to refuel and at this point I realised that the fuel flap wasn't working at all. I've not had any previous issues with this so I'm wondering if anything could have been disconnected from whilst my car was in for repair? I went straight back to the garage and they immediately got their back up when I mentioned this fault wasn't apparent when I left my car with them 7 weeks ago. As a short term solution they've shown me the release cord in the boot to use until they take my car back in (hopefully next week).
Back to the issue, when the fuel flap button is pressed in the car there's no noise. Has anyone encountered this before and is there anything that the garage could have done to attribute to this now not working?
On another note, this is the 1st time dealing with Maranello and I've found their service completely shocking.
- I had to constantly chase them for an update on my car whilst it was in the shop being repaired
- I asked them to look at a coolant leak (which I paid an hour labour for) they identified it, asked if I wanted to fix it which I said to hold off on for the moment. I called them days later and they said they've fixed it without notifying me and then tried to charge me for this.
- Some of the people I've been dealing with have been pretty rude and unresponsive
I'm pretty disappointed in all of this and I definitely won't be taking my car here for any future repairs or service.
Cheers,
Jason
