You speak the truth. And by God it makes a difference! The V12S engine is generally 545hbp (20 down on the 'advertised' figure but Bamford Rose reckons the mods will up that to around 610. To be fair, the standard Aston manifolds are a big old set of corks (a hangover from earlier V12 engines, limited by EuroV / EGR requirements and generally inefficient), so there's a lot to gain just by unclogging things. I suspect the Maserati manifolds may be much less restrictive in the first place.nice work and about time someone picked up serious exhaust and inlet tuning on these engines... The Aston scene has had Bamford and rose squeezing a proven 70 - 80bhp out of the v8 vantage and db9 for years
So want these
The forum needs a test guinea-pig!So want these
I was thinking of getting a 4.7 Grantourismo after my 4200 but in the end bought a DB9 for exactly that reason. Watching Mike at BR crush trolls questioning the R&D when he was actually on the development team for the engine at Aston is quite amusing too.You speak the truth. And by God it makes a difference! Mike is a funny character. Technically very talented but if it was someone else's garage they likely wouldn't put him front of house. Luckily it does them no harm - they're always rammed. Collecting mine from him tomorrow.I was thinking of getting a 4.7 Grantourismo after my 4200 but in the end bought a DB9 for exactly that reason.
