    Gransport Steering Wheel Repair

Cheers chaps Mine is parked outside so sun damage makes sense, think I'll start covering the wheel when it's not going to be used for a few days. On the original crack it looks like the lacquer has 'lifted' on either side of the crack, which would presumably mean it would have to be sanded...

    Windscreen wiper blade clips

[seven months later...] I replaced the offending articles with some Valeo RetroFit Flat Blades (R55, I think) and they work flawlessly. £12 a piece from Halfords. As a result I have a lightly used windscreen wiper clip going spare as a result if anyone is in dire need. Let me know.

    Gransport Steering Wheel Repair

Hello all A search on this has yielded no results so I thought I would ask the question directly. The steering wheel on my '05 Gransport has a couple of hairline cracks in the lacquer on the piece of (possibly fake?) carbonfibre that forms the top of the wheel. The largest is about 1cm...

55 plate GS passenger seat woes

No problem. I couldn't understand why a 'broken' motor would still move the seat even a small amount but concluded that it must just be worn out. No idea how long the second-hand replacement will work, but it has cured the issue for the moment. Best of luck.

55 plate GS passenger seat woes

Your problem sounds the same as the one I had; knackered seat motor. I had exactly the same symptoms - moving the switch would inch the seat forward but it would then stop. Pressing the switch again moved it another inch before it stopped again and so on. Coincidentally I have literally just...

    Windscreen wiper blade clips

Thanks for the replies all. I'm going to switch to some of the aero blades and see if they solve the problem.

    Windscreen wiper blade clips

Thanks all. Adam - it looks from the photo like your clip is in the same place as mine. This is a bit of a detail question, but is it pushing down on the tab on the blade that I've pointed out in the attachment below, rather than prodding thin air like mine is?: Outrun - entirely...

    Windscreen wiper blade clips

Ha; thanks. Shame if it is right though, as I've no idea what else to try!

    Windscreen wiper blade clips

9 months later... Can I ask a follow up question on the wiper clips? My driver's side wiper is driving me to distraction; at anything above 30mph it emits a very loud 'thunk' at the top of its range, and at 'motorway speeds' (ahem) it often seems to struggle to stay stuck to the screen...

    3200 Wheels on a Gransport

The FD wheels do look very purposeful, though I get the sense they are not the easiest to track down in the UK. Rationale for 18s is the higher profile tyre would hopefully = better ride and lower likelihood of rim damage, added to the fact that a 2nd hand set costs about half the cost of one...

    3200 Wheels on a Gransport

Heck, that was a quick reply, I wasn't even sure the thread was live yet! Thanks. Have any forum members tried a similar approach to winter wheels?

    3200 Wheels on a Gransport

Hello all Having just had another near miss with a cracked alloy (slow deflation turned out to be the result of a crack in the tyre wall - never been happier to get a bill for a new tyre) I am considering a set of winter wheels and tyres. Does anyone know whether the 18s from a 3200 will fit...

    Gransport steering creak

Thanks all. Will try and get it up on a ramp in the next couple of days. Interestingly, have just been out this morning and started the car up to check. No creaking at the moment, which confirms that it comes on over time. Suggests to me that it's something expanding as the miles rack up. Odd.

    Gransport steering creak

Evening all I've searched various threads on this topic and seen suggestions ranging from knackered steering to knackered clutch, so thought I would describe my own symptoms and see if anyone had any similar experience. My '05 GS has an developed an unexplained creak from the front end...

Gransport Cracked Alloy - what to do with it?

Buying a set of non-standard replacements is another option, as I can imagine that a set of forged 18"s would prove more durable, but I hate the idea of messing with the standard look.

Gransport Cracked Alloy - what to do with it?

Thanks for the suggestions, all. Given that the crack is on the inside of the rim and the wheel itself is immaculate, I think I'll probably send it off to be repaired in the New Year. In the meantime, I'll be negotiating the rutted, disgracefully potholed streets of Leeds as though my wheels...

Gransport Cracked Alloy - what to do with it?

Evening all After three incident free months of Gransport ownership, I went out to the car a few weeks ago to find a badly deflated front tire. A check by the garage confirmed a crack in the inner rim, something I now understand to be depressingly common on these Trofeo alloys. After some...
