A BMW M635CSI just sold for £100k so it won't buy you much classic car soon!

I was at the NEC - bit of a shock M635 selling for more than several early 911 Turbos. It was a record price mind, and the rest have sole for about £50k. Maybe the M1 engine is seen at the birth of proper M cars with "motorsport" heritage (one make race series)
Just wait for the financial markets to pick up, we'll be able to buy again. Investors follow the money, so prices will have a correction at some point.

That's what I like about you; you're a funny f*cker! I only posted this thread because my mate had that sort of budget, so while I was waiting for him, it got me thinking and, tbh, I still don't know what I would get if I had that sort of spare money. I was thinking of doing a Lister Bell Stratos when I get my new garage with a ramp but time will tell as there are a lot of ifs, buts and maybes before I settle on anything.

My mates brother in law is doing a Lister Bell Stratos.
Should be finished this summer, it's looking very nice indeed!

They are better than the originals. It would have to be done in the Alitalia colours as those cars look the absolute f...ing nuts.

That's my project for when I go down to 3 days/week in a few years time, I can't wait to get started.
Please post some pictures when you have the chance, I'd love to see how he's getting on

It was say 90% finished when I saw it last in November.
He had a hiccup with the gel coat finish not being very good, so came to an agreement that they would pay for it being painted rather than the coloured gel coat.
They are an expensive build. Tally is well over £30K, excluding labour of course.
Will probably do a track day with him and my mate when finished, Blighton Park most likely like we have done before together.

He must be getting very excited with just 10% to go, a great achievement.
I wouldn't say that I am any of kind of experienced mechanic, but what a great way to learn!
