Mark who is co-team principal of my race team and whom some of you met at Le Mans has just finished this amazing 1000+ hour restoration of this Mustang for one of his customers.

The customer bought it when it was 18 months old and then in the mid 70's had an accident in it, so it was put away in his garage and not touched until last year when he decided to have it restored as a retirement present to himself.

This is how it looked when it arrived to give you an idea of how big a job this was!

and this is how it looks now after a very great deal of hard work...

It is now awaiting collection by its owner, the delay being post accident it fitted in the garage at his home but now it is the 'correct' length again it no longer fits so he is looking for alternative storage!

Looks like he's done a fantastic job, great work! I'll bet the owner is happy, I just hope he's learnt how to drive better than he did in the 70s!

Spent an hour wandering round the workshop of Ian Kellett in West Yorkshire today, they do restoration work and had some lovely cars there.

This was my favourite!

Nice restoration although it's not for me. I understand why it was important to the owner but the colour scheme, spec and fastback don't do it for me at all. The Fulvia is waaayyyy nicer.

'Mercan muscle cars don't do much for me, but I do like some of the old mustangs and this is one of the better designs. Amazing restoration.

I've not been too keen on 'merican stuff either, but must admit the mustang and first gen super bee are two that i would let in my garage. Not for long but they'd be allowed in :)

Excellent restoration - do you guys want to fix mine when I make a mess of it :)
