159 v6

Has anyone every taken the 159 v6 for a spin? Would be interested in thoughts as one of my buddies is looking for a fast estate...

The sport wagon is the only current Alfa I would buy. I would also go diesel too. The V6 is the yank lump and not a very good one at that.

Saying that, no I have not driven it.

It is strange that they didn't just put in a slightly updated version of the old v6! The GTV v6 engine looks like a work of art from what I remember.....

Was topping up oil and a passer by was looking at it, an old man with his mrs and he said.....

Thats a good looking engine......

Loved that car.....we still wanting alfa to make gtv V6s but that will never happen

No your right Dem, the real V6 is dead, such a shame as it did make a great sound track, even more so with a carbon air box.

I have the 3.2 JTS Q4 sedan and think it is fantastic.
I was looking at the 156 GTA but was driving a 2.0 TS 156 already that I had owned for ten years.
The 159 is much more advanced in terms of safety features, creature comforts etc.
Most importantly though in Australia, it's air conditioning actually works.
The 156 a/c is shocking.
All that said, I would still love a GTA!

You need an induction on that Andy, carbon airbox, will sound even better, have you fitted a strut brace too?

Strut brace already on her...Air box next....Had the money for it but gave it to Liz when The Alfa went bang.....

Any car can sound really well with an induction, my mate has a Citroen C2 VTR, fitted a K & N induction, sounds like a 1600 rally car.

Me to Si....Just a great looking engine ...What other car has a looker like that in it for the money.....Alfa's bes never to be repeated I would say....
