My wife was going..bloody buy it thats loads of car for the money.....Tell you what I wouldn't mind is a 164 Cloverleaf...Not many around these days and the good ones are about 2k or more...Remember driving a 164 3L and loving it but the torque steer was scary

Yes she is............big Aston fan........She has driven around the Lotus test track at speed and had a great time. She also did a few laps around Combe in my Exige...The only down side is that she believes that a Maserati should never be yellow...

flipping heck, your wife is into trackdays, i hope my Mrs is like that, you will just have to convince her that a GS in yellow is pant wetting material. What colour does she like her Maserati then?

alfa's have always been a special car, not many german cars are special but most italian are, i think it may be because the italians design cars with passion and craftsmanship whereas mot german cars are built for purpose.

I have owned a couple of 166's - A 3.0 Super and a late 3.2 Ti, they are great cars, especially with the V6 and are fairly rare. No big Alfa replacement though - I just can't understand the marketing there! I owned a couple of 164's also - When the production of the 164 stopped in 1993/4 the 166 replacement did not come until 1998, the 166 itself ceased production in 2004. 169 - when?

I have therefore decided to step up my game and look for a Quattroporte V :)

Hi Andy - My bro had a black 1994 164 24v Cloverleaf, it was indeed lovely and a car he really regrets selling :( I had a black 1994 164 24v Super at the same time - Mine was a bit more subtle :)

I currently have the final version of the Real Alfa V6 - The 250bhp 3.2 GTA in a 156, A very competent car that Ii really have no reason to change! :D
