Thanks for the comments - I feel exactly the same way. The car was delivered to me last Thursday afternoon and I took her for a quick 10 mile drive on bone dry roads, then the rain set in overnight so haven't been out since (the lanes take ages to dry out round here). That drive was a big shock! Utterly sublime is the only way I can describe it. I was expecting it to feel quick but not THAT quick!!! The power is colossal, smoothly delivered with very little lag, a wonderful gear change, light controls, hardly any wind noise whatsoever, great ride over uneven surfaces, incredibly comfortable seats with very reasonable driving position thanks to the telescopic & tilt adjustable steering wheel, effective and easy to use climate control, awesome sounding hi-fi system.. the list goes on. My nephew (massive car enthusiast) came round yesterday to have a look and was totally blown away having never seen one before.
So pleased the weather forecast is great for the next few days and weekend - will be able to get out and enjoy the car and can't wait for Wilton House on Sunday! I'm sure each of the owners before me must have said "This is a keeper" and I feel that very strongly with this car - it makes sense to cherish it for many years to come for many reasons, just one being that it's such a practical and usable car. And of all the cars I've owned, this one screams "look after me!" more than any other - and that will be my greatest pleasure.
