Just home after a beautiful trip to Skye, spider performed faultlessly again, average around 20mpg, over 350 mls some fairly rapid some pretty slow.
Excellent road for driving and not to busy, good for a gathering of the Clan ?.

Only problem air con is hot, had to keep top down all way home, beautiful country.

Well I must have a leak in my tank ahaha
I never get under 30l/100kms which is 9.4 mpg...
And if I frequently get 40l/100kms, 7mpg, which I have come to believe is the highest fuel consumption the onboard computer is capable of showing.

Sounds like an excellent trip, you must have been taking it easy, I only average 16! Perfect car for the good weather.

Hi Allan,
odd bit of madness to 3 figures but one must take care, came round one bend not so far from home to find camper van 25ft long pulling across road into lay by on my side, string of cars behind it, just as well brakes are good and I was paying attention.
Weather and roads in and around North perfect, down side I am running up the clock before sale , but what a pleasure.

Hope u and missed and mistress are all good.

Chief.

Difference must be the long clear straights, lack of traffic on some parts, and the odd slow down to take in the views..or you need to get your box checked..sounds like your stuck in second and heavy traffic..

Regards chief.

I don't get very much, you don't when it is only driven for pleasure!
When I picked her up for the first time it was raining on the M1, so took it real easy, when I got home after 100 miles the trip said the average was 24...never again!

I got 24 after I picked the car up from Chester on the long drive North a couple of months ago.
I haven't checked it since. I have a diesel golf that does over 60 and I didn't buy a Maserati for the fuel economy! Lol
Driving with the window open listening to the exhaust probably takes another bit off the figure but I really don't care!
The days of big thirsty noisy V8s are numbered but at my age so are mine so while I still can sod the planet!!

must get there or the world will end 10-15mpg, commute with cold driving 15% of the time 17-19mpg, motorway at 70 22-24mpg, motorway normal 20-21mpg. missus in the passenger seat, dry day, long road under 60 typically 24-26, seen 28-30 if i never let the turbos run up (i know pointless, but you know stuck in traffic and not in a hurry). 9.4mpg is a problem i think it shouldn't be that bad, unless you drive like Ayrton senna all the time!

23.1 mpg on my 07 QP display, consistently - suspicious
but it does react when I floor it or am in heavy traffic
Don't mind because of the immense pleasure

Just done an MPG check as it happens, on the way down to Ace I managed 24mpg, roadworks and traffic I suspect contributed to that, but I was surprised..!!
That's in the GS by the way..!!
Don't know about coming back as I was giving it some in places, so I will have to check and advise..!!

How can YOU have used less fuel than ME??? :)

That was on exactly the same route... I suppose you were slipstreaming me most of the way down. Mind you, I was slipstreaming that **** Jeep for about 50 miles too.

I suppose I am that bit sleeker Drew and yes I was slip streaming you so less resistance..!! Maybe the 70 miles to get to you and all those roadworks and dosey drivers sitting in the outside lane of the A1 could have something to do with it..!!
